El contexto cultural y de acción que me tocó vivir estos últimos años hace que el germen de esta obra sea Internet. Es la disociación, el sobreestímulo, lo que tomamos y lo que descartamos de datos, imágenes y sonidos. Reflexionar qué se hace o se deja de hacer con todo eso. Vincular los casos más improbables y transformarlos en otra cosa, en otra y en otra. El collage como reinvención infinita. Fui descubriendo de a poco el hilo y trabajé esas micro y macro ideas sonoras para resucitar sus zonas muertas, que estaban hechas basura y transformarlas en un techno distópico porteño. El motor inicial fue el deseo de componer un disco de música techno, electrónica, super bailable. La búsqueda devino en el interes por las viñetas, los cómics y quise plasmar eso en la música.
Esta obra convive con el concepto de un personaje antihéroe llamado Carolo. Un Terminator de la avenida Warnes. Me di cuenta que tenía que poner la voz en este proyecto y la manera de materializarlo fue armando un personaje, un alter ego que se transformó en todo un concepto estético y narrativo que resulta muy sincrónico con las viñetas que quise plasmar en las estructuras de las composiciones.

Necesité crearlo para componer una música distinta. Tal vez, de alguna manera, me sirvió para que el resultado sea una representación más leal de lo que soy.

The cultural context in which I have lived these past few years makes the germ of this work the Internet. It is the dissociation, the overstimulation, what we take and what we discard from data, images and sounds. Reflecting on what we do or don’t do with all that. To link the most improbable cases and transform them into something else, something else and something else. Mash-up as infinite reinvention. I gradually discovered the thread and worked those micro and macro sound ideas to resurrect their dead zones which were made of garbage, and transform them into a dystopian techno porteño (from Buenos Aires). The initial engine was the desire to compose an album of techno music, electronic, super danceable. The search turned into an interest in cartoons, comics, and I wanted to translate that into music.
This work coexists with the concept of an antihero character named Carolo. A Terminator of Warnes Avenue. I realized that I had to put the voice in this project and the way to materialize it was by putting together a character, an alter ego that became a whole aesthetic and narrative concept that is very synchronous with the vignettes that I wanted to capture in the structures of the compositions.
I needed to create him to compose a different music. Perhaps, in some way, it helped me to make the result a more loyal representation of who I am.
